When I started Tying the Knot from my bed in the sorority house, I had countless dreams for what I wanted my new little company to become. I was shooting for the stars, but I never thought to shoot this high. I have been honored by Martha Stewart Weddings as a Top Planner for 2014- a list filled with planners who first inspired my love for weddings and who’s books are sitting on my bookshelf. A list that now features my little company that I started from my bed in the sorority house.

I am shaken by just how far my company and I have come before our 4th birthday! We’ve watched 91 brides walk down the aisle to meet their grooms and developed incredible relationships with our creative partners who have now turned into friends. We have been named The Knot’s Best of Weddings for 2013, 2014, and 2015 and Brides Magazine’s Wedding Planner to Know in 2013. We’ve had weddings published in 4 national magazines, 13 local magazines, and have been featured 42 times on various national blogs. Yet among many other milestones, none can compare to receiving the biggest honor of my career- being one of 63 wedding planners throughout the country to be named Martha’s Top Planner.

While I am incredibly proud, I am also so incredibly motivated to live up to this title and to prove that I belong on this list of planners who are creative and talented beyond belief! I will not let Martha, my clients, or myself down and I will continue to prove that all it takes is a little personalization and a whole lotta’ love to plan amazing weddings! Challenge accepted, Martha! Bring it on 2015!
