Genny and Barr’s all white wedding highlights everything that New Orleans weddings are known for! The only color- Genny wore a mint colored Monique Lhuillier gown! They were married in the golden glamour of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and celebrated at their seated dinner reception at the iconic Waldorf Astoria Roosevelt Hotel in the French Quarter! The reception featured lush, glamorous floral clouds dripping with orchids! The tables featured golden accents and lots of flickering candlelight! We offered the guests a few unique lounges for comfortable seating and easy conversation! The showstopper- a sugar flower adorned cake positioned in front of a full wall of white flowers that was flanked by candles! A backdrop for many a selfie that night! As we neared the end of the night, the group enjoyed sliders and fries for their late night snack while we served New Orleans style snowballs as a sweet treat! To cap off the night, reception ended with a traditional second line out to their horse and carriage!
This wedding was my favorite example of making a traditional, ballroom wedding feel modern and intricately interesting!
