Felicity Church + Il Mercato | New Orleans Wedding full of greens, velvet and love!

All hail Krewe du Drackett! Since we’re getting in the Mardi Gras spirit here in New Orleans, we are throwing it back to this winter wedding around carnival time in 2019! The sweet couple got married at Felicity Church, a restored venue preserving the history of the church, but bringing new life to wedding ceremonies in Uptown Nola.

Kelly and Hunter then second lined to celebrate their marriage at Il Mercato – where the guests were greeted by a masculine winter wonderland! Lush greens by Kim Starr Wise cascaded everywhere adding movement and whimsy! French blue velvet linens added a sultry texture, and candles created a glow on every surface! Tiered king cakes served as the wedding cake and a nod to the Nola season! After grabbing a hand rolled cigar, guests could relax in one of five lounges around the venue, creating a welcoming comfortable environment for conversation and revelry! And for those with their dancing shoes on, brass horns blared all night long! It was quite the experience and we were honored to be a part of it!
