Micro weddings are our only options right now in this Covid-19 world, but the sweet Jenn from Haute Off the Rack always had an intimate New Orleans Wedding in mind! As many little girls dream of, she wanted her father to walk her down the aisle. But her father was ill and not able to travel to her destination wedding in Cabo, so she planned a New Orleans micro wedding with us to allow them all that precious memory! And while some small weddings are scaling the decor way down, this wedding for 40 guests skipped no detail!
My favorite design choice, you ask? Every guest sat through the ceremony in a custom or vintage sofa, love seat, bench, or chair from Distressed Rentals! All the comfort, and all the style!
Both the Bride and Groom got ready at the Henry Howard Hotel- a stately mansion turned boutique hotel with alllll the photo spots for a Southern soiree!
Want to know the secret to wedding dress buttons and loops? A bobby pin! The heads on crotchet hooks are too bulky to work their way in between the tiny pieces, and that extra upturn of the bobby pin provides the perfect catch! Spread the word!
You know I’m a traditionalist, but the one place I’d stray every. single. time. is for a first look! All of the pageantry of a wedding day takes away from the intimacy. This moment is just for the two of you! Tell each other how good they look, how excited you are to marry them, how nervous you’ve been all morning. Then take all of the stunning and special photos pre-ceremony so you can get straight to the party after you say I do! And a bonus, you’ve now spent some extra hours hugging and kissing on your love on your wedding day! Win win every time in my book!
This bride just loved decor, so we scheduled some time before the ceremony for a grand reveal of the venue and for the bridal party to take pictures in the beautiful space! Check out that giant smile as she saw Il Mercato for the first time!
Along with Gigi New York, Jenn created custom clutches for each of her bridesmaids as a part of their gift!
This wedding was such a fun collaboration for Ashley and I, so we had to have a few photos of us snapped in our favorite spaces!
The moment you’ve all been scrolling for… the soft seating ceremony!
It’s hard to imagine a Nola wedding without a second line! I love when the brass band plays the ceremony recessional song right after the kiss and the union is instantly celebrated with a dance party through the streets!
Micro cakes for the micro wedding! Multiple cakes is a great way to incorporate multiple designs and delicious flavors!
The garden roses on the cake below are SUGAR!! Mind blown by Chasing Wang’s talent!
Send us an email if you’re planning a New Orleans micro wedding of your own! We’d love to celebrate your love at any guest size!
